West Surrey Racing

One of the most successful teams in the BTCC (British Touring Car Championship), West Surrey Racing (WSR) will operate three BMW 3 series touring cars for the 2026 BTCC season, alongside a new GT3 programme.

West Surrey Racing operated four cars during the 2025 season, one under the WSR banner driven by Daryl DeLeon, a pair driven by Charles Rainford and Aiden Moffat under the LQK Eurocarparts with WSR banner, and a fourth for MB Motorsport under the Laser Tools Racing banner driven by Jake Hill. Although still a manufacturer backed entry, 2025 was notable with less input provided by BMW, as well as the notable absence of long standing WSR driver Colin Turkington.

2025 was another successful season for WSR, with Daryl DeLeon winning the Jack Sears trophy for drivers without an overall podium finish at the start of the season. Reigning overall champion Jake Hill (although not a real title contender), put in a strong season ahead of leaving the BTCC for racing in Europe for the 2026 season. Charles Rainford finished second in the Jack Sears title race, with Aiden Moffat also putting in several consistent strong performance throughout the season.

2024 saw Colin Turkington and Adam Morgan compete for Team BMW, with WSR also operating the MB Motorsport Laser Tools Racing entry of Jake Hill once again. Bobby Thompson made a brief return to the BTCC at Snetterton with WSR, but was unfortunately unable to secure the budget to continue further in the season. Ultimately 2024 proved to be a very successful season, albeit it was the Laser Tools Racing backed Jake Hill that came up trumps with the overall title win.
