Radio Borders

Radio Borders was a local radio station that broadcast to Scottish Borders and North Northumberland, from studios in Galashiels using four FM transmitters.

Under ownership by Bauer Media, the station progressively lost local programmes over a number of years. Cut backs also saw the remaining local breakfast show move to Forth 1’s Edinburgh studios.

Bauer Media have now decided to pull the plug entirely, replacing the station with a version of Greatest Hits Radio. Beyond short news bulletins, there is no content produced specifically for the coverage area of the now defunct Radio Borders.
