Speedworks Motorsport

Speedworks Motorsport are factory backed by Japanese manufacturer Toyota, and currently race under the Toyota Gazoo Racing United Kingdom banner.

British Touring Car Championship

The mainstay of the team has been the British Touring Car Championship (BTCC), dating back to 2011 and using various Toyota models throughout.

Speedworks Motorsport have announced their first drivers for the upcoming 2026 season. Following Jake Hills departure from the BTCC, MB Motorsport have moved over from BMW to Toyota, and Speedworks will run a pair of Laser Tools Racing sponsored Toyota Corollas for Gordon Sheddon and Árón Taylor-Smith. Four TBLs (Toca licenses) have been confirmed for Speedworks Motorsport, with the other two expected to be Toyota Gazoo Racing factory entries.

2025 saw an all new driver line up, with all four cars under the Toyota Gazoo Racing UK banner. Gordon Sheddon returned to the BTCC, with James Dorlin, Árón Taylor-Smith, and Ronan Pearson comprising the initial line-up. Pearson departed after the first four race weekends, with Max Buxton making his BTCC debut. James Dorlin was later replaced by Josh Cook, following a hiatus by One Motorsport due to team owner illness.

2025 wasn’t a particularly successful season for Speedworks. Despite manufacturer backing, all four cars struggles for pace. However, development of the car throughout the season, and a switch to the M-sport engine, saw much stronger results towards the end of the season.

After running three cars for the 2023 season, driven by Rory Butcher, Ricky Collard, and George Gamble, 2024 saw the unveiling of an all new line-up. Expanding to four cars, Speedworks Motorsport formed two squads. Andrew Watson and Rob Huff formed a factory Toyota Gazoo Racing UK outfit, with Josh Cook and Aiden Moffat forming the satellite LKQ Eurocarparts team.

Notable former drivers include Tom Ingram, who now drives for Excelr8 Motorsport.
